Kits and Features

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 7, 2008, 12:27 PM

Hey Everyone!
I have been busy working on my very first color pencil kit.
Here's the work in progress

This kit will be for intermediate level and the kit will contain a reference photo, a list of supplies needed, a step by step procedure in creating the subject, and one piece of 8" x 10" Stonehenge paper. I plan on creating kits of a dog, horse, flowers, wildlife and a couple of fantasy ones too.

1) The kit sounds like an amazing idea and great project -- best of luck and let me know how it goes! (I can't even image how to put one together!)

2) *Tackle Hug* for the feature! Thank you so much!

*Tackle hugs ya again for good measure!*

I was talking to another artist, who works in graphite. I think you could do this with any medium, such as graphite or watercolor. Great resource for teaching younger art students - especially for those who cannot afford to go onto art college.

Your so welcome!
I will let you know about the kits. I have been thinking about doing the kits for a long time now. Right around when several cp artists were first putting them out, just never really had the time to put it together. It's the typing up part that will take me the longest and the layout of the lesson :D I think it will be great for young art students. I like to take a jab at doing some anime/manga kits too. So many kids interested in drawing that sort of stuff.

Sounds like some great ideas! I'm actually in the beginning stages of trying to purchase and set up a community art centre -- a cross between a gallery and children's art program. Granted, actually setting up shop is a ways away, but when that happens you should be settled into your kits. Definitely keep me up to date! When I have everything here like I want it, those kits would be absolutely fabulous for what I want to do. It'd be a great way to bring in older children and teens so I don't just have classes full of wee sprites and macaroni noodle dreams! *giggle*
